Flexibility is the ability of muscles to stretch, is a precondition for strength, endurance and coordination. Everyone can improve its flexibility, high school athlete trying to prevent injury to older people seeking to improve balance (flexibility decreases with age). For sedentary professional, occupational requirements that require long time sitting / standing / travel in general as a result narrow, stiff muscles. In the absence of stretching techniques, sprained muscle is very likely, even with a simple exercise. It is therefore important to work on flexibility.

With some of the easiest, do-it-all means to develop and maintain greater flexibility. You can do Kegels anywhere - when spoken by phone on the way home, relaxing at home, or when you feel like doing a minute of gentle exercise and relaxation. Even a few minutes stretching can cause a cascade of benefits, including freedom of movement and relax. You will feel lighter, energetic and more relaxed.

Tips to remember before you start.

1. Always stretch your muscles after a warm up as stretching cold muscles can cause injury.
2. For best results, try heating with a simple exercise of 5 minutes walk on the ground, foot, knee replacement poses, jumping.
3. Start each stretch slowly and gently until you feel a slight discomfort (but not as pain). Hold for 10 to 20 seconds.
5. Practice 3-4 times for each section.
6. Avoid rebound tense.

There are hundreds of extensions you can try, but the following are some of the most effective.

A. Neck Stretch --
Standing, slowly begin to touch the chin to the clavicle, and looks down. Then take the head back and try to face the ceiling, you will feel the stretch in the front of the neck region. Benefits - helps relieve neck pain and improve posture.

B. Shoulder Stretch --
Stand with feet apart at shoulder width. Close both hands behind his back. Slowly raise their hands clasped behind his body toward the ceiling and feel the stretch in the front of the shoulder muscles. Benefits - helps revive a stiff shoulder, pain after working long hours

C. WAIST Stretch.
Standing, from left to reach your arms overhead and turn right at the waist, allowing the right hand to slide down the outside of the right thigh and Shin Hold. Return to center. Repeat with the other side. Advantages: helps tone the waist (rolls), and aerobic exercise

D. To stretch the lower back.
Stand straight with your torso upright, knees slightly bent. Lean, (but be careful to avoid stooped shoulders and upper back) and try to touch the fingertips on the floor. Return slowly to starting position. Benefits - helps relieve stiffness of the back.

E. QUADRICEPS Stretch --
To stretch the muscles in the front thigh, standing beside a wall with his left hand against the wall. Bend your right knee, and use his right hand to hold his right ankle after body. Try gently pulling the right heel down. Repeat with the other side. Advantages: helps relieve tension in the thigh, the benefit for people who spend long hours sitting.

For best results, try to practice these exercises after a good hot shower (as warm muscles are more flexible and receptive to stretching) and / or heating routine for best results.

Hopefully these stretching exercises can help relieve pain and stiffness. Good luck. Stretch your muscles and not to dismiss these people when they are tight!

Amazon.com Review Garmin's eTrex Venture GPS receiver offers a host of track- and path-related programs and is surprisingly easy to use. View larger. Roughly the size and shape of a cell phone, the Venture has six buttons that are easily accessible by thumb and forefinger. The Power, Page, Zoom In, Zoom Out, and Find buttons are along the side, with the big-daddy navigation button (a directional click-button akin to a thumb-operated joystick) on the front above the screen. The side buttons are stiff enough that it's nearly impossible to accidentally push one. However, we found the navigation button to be a bit too stiff, which caused us several errors in entering waypoints. Text was very easy to read--highlights are discernible and menu bars and clickable objects are well defined. The unit also has an excellent backlight, which illuminates the whole screen with a white light, giving excellent contrast and viewing capability at night. The Venture's interface is split into five different pages, each providing different functions. The main menu page gives you access to your saved routes and tracks, as well as setup for using WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation Service) reception, unit measurement, time, and display. These are all quickly rotated through with the click of the Page button on the right-hand side of the unit. The map page displays the basemap included with the Venture, and for outdoor excursions it provides all the basics you'll need. It automatically tracks your movements and you can save individual tracks for later viewing. The map is zoomable from 500 miles to 20 feet depending on your preferences. You can place waypoints and places of interest on the map and name and change the icons of each to create your own personalized maps. If you decide you want to go somewhere, press the Find button and you'll get quick access to waypoints, your favorites list, and nearby cities. The Venture features 1 MB of memory for downloading points-of-interest data--including lodging, business services, banks, and more--from optional CD-ROMs via the included PC cable. Unfortunately, for more detailed mapping you'll need to look to the Garmin eTrex Legend or Vista, both of which have larger memory capacities and the ability to download detailed maps. Reception was, of course, best outside on a clear day, but the Venture retained most of its functionality under limited cover like small buildings or thick trees. All in all, the Garmin eTrex Venture is a nifty little GPS tool and is ready to roll for your outdoor adventure. However, if you're looking to use more detailed map data with your GPS, the Garmin eTrex Vista or Legend would be a better choice. --Matt Deffer Pros: Intuitive interface Clear, easy-to-read display Create waypoints at key locations for easy navigation Included PC cable for downloading firmware upgrades and maps Cons: 1 MB memory only accepts points-of-interest data What's in the Box eTrex Venture GPS receiver, City Point database, PC interface cable, wrist strap, user's guide, and quick reference guide.

Immersive controls: a Wii exclusive The game may be the same brand of excellent Madden NFL football you're used to, but the playing field is very different. With the new FreeMotion controls, Madden NFL 07 successfully incorporates the flick of the wrist in addition to the push of a button. Now to pass the ball, players flick the controller forward. The faster the flick, the faster the pass. Slow flicks generate a long pass to give the receiver time to get under the ball. Jukes are now controlled by moving the Nunchuk controller left or right. Gamers generate a stiff are by moving the Wii Remote controller right or left. Those who have played previous versions of the Madden NFL franchise will certainly know the gameplay mechanics, from defensive line shifts to offensive hot routes. The key to being successful at Madden NFL 07 for Wii is to trust your instincts rather than reacting with buttons. Passing, for one, is a test of touch. How fast or how hard should you throw that pass? In your playbook, each available receiver is designated by a direction on the Control Pad. To pass to this receiver during the play, you simply press the Control Pad direction and flick the Remote to pass. Each play has a preferred receiver for whom the play is designed. To pass to him, all you need to do is flick the Remote, no accompanying direction necessary. An all-new rushing game In Madden NFL 07, you'll control the running game like never before. For the first time ever, step up as the lead blocker to create a hole, then take control of the tailback and smash through, overpower, or slash away from would-be tacklers - as you fight for every yard. Innovative rushing controls give you a game-breaking ground attack featuring all-new jukes, cutbacks, and the distinct running styles of your favorite backs. Smaller backs escape and break tackles, while bigger runners bowl over defenders in the open field Scout collegiate prospects with the all-new NFL Draft Scouting System and during the College All-Star Game. Watch players impact their teams with the new Franchise Player Roles feature Team-Specific Defensive Playbooks. For the first time, use actual plays from your favorite team's defensive playbook to shut down the running game, pressure the quarterback, or force key turnovers. A fine balance of reflex and power The running game is where FreeMotion control especially shines, mostly because rushing the ball is truly a test of anticipation, reaction and power. As you run, you can see what tacklers stand in your way. Once they're close enough, that's when you react, whether you juke or blast them with a stiff arm. Once they think they have you wrapped up, sometimes you've given the chance to power through them by pushing both controllers forward. There's something extremely satisfying about physically planting a stiff arm in someone's facemask. You can't get that in any other football game. Defense also gets a FreeMotion upgrade as pushing the controllers forward can help you deliver the big hit. When you're playing in the secondary, flicking the remote will give your defender a chance to swat at the ball. It's this level of integration that really revolutionizes Madden NFL 07 without forsaking the gameplay elements gamers have come accustomed to. Overall, the football franchise dives into the end zone and scores with a motion system that gets gamers in the game without going over the top.
