The media and health issues

For there are many important health problems that always seem to be at the forefront in the world today. Diseases such as cancer, AIDS and diseases heart health problems that most people are more worried. Other health problems are causing panic, as the disease of bird flu and mad cow disease. These health problems are rare, but getting much attention from the media that people start to worry more about them then health problems that should be worried.

The media is to create a story that will get people to watch. They can not give much information, but in general are out of proportion.
The media play an important role in view of public health issues. Unfortunately, the media are less concerned about the health of people as they may seem.

The means used to transform a small not a big problem. Avian influenza is a good example. It has never been a huge health problem that the media made it appear. These professionals often quoted out of context, giving the impression that if he hit the United States. This type of media influence can be very bad.

When people focus more on what the media says about health issues often end up worrying and focuses on this particular issue. Meanwhile, they forget to worry about the real health problems that offer a real threat to them, such as cancer or disease heart. The media can be useful in many cases, but when it comes to health issues, do what the media have to say with a grain of salt and stick discuss health issues with your doctor.
