Both Boise State and Ball State are 11-0 this season and earned some bragging rights. After all, are 2 of only 4 teams remain unbeaten among 119 Division 1-A school at this stage of the college football season. Alabama is 12-0 and Utah is 11-0.
Introduction of competition on Saturday (11-22-08), Alabama was ranked No. 1 in AP Top 25 Poll, Utah, was No. 8, Boise State was No. 9 and No. Ball State 14. Perhaps more importantly, the BCS rankings had Alabama at No. 1 Utah, at No. 7, Boise State at No. 9 and Ball State in the number 17.
I have no problem with the classification of Alabama and Utah both in polls, but I have some serious problems for Boise State and Ball State to be in the position so loud.
Players, coaches, fans, boosters and the citizens of Boise, Idaho (home of the Broncos of Boise State) and Muncie, Indiana (home of the Cardinals Ball State) should be understandable Fired Up in the success of his team.
There should be plenty of hype and screaming in Boise and Muncie. It is not easy to go undefeated in 11 games when they're competing at any level.
However, my gag complex is on red alert, because I think both Ball State and Boise State are not best teams in 9th and 17th in the nation, according to the BCS rankings. The strength of the list apparently does not affect the BCS ranking.
Introduction Saturday's competition, the strength of schedule of Boise State was 123rd and 127th Ball State was among 119 Division 1-A school, according to the Sagarin College Ratings Football.
This means that both teams have built their unbeaten records on computers that are on average less than Division 1-A caliber. I think it's serious flaw in his armor.
Last season, the Hawaii Warriors breezed his way to a 12-0 record before getting the BCS Sugar Bowl date with Georgia, losing The Bulldogs 41-10. And exactly how to build this Hawaii undefeated 12-0 mark that left a No. 10 ranking in the final AP Top 25 poll? Glad you finally asked. Here's how:
The 12 teams of the Warriors of Hawaii has been a great coup won 53-92 cumulative record of the loss of height, 365 (37%) win percentage. His victims were of Northern Colorado 1-11 (team 1-AA), Idaho, 1-11, 2-10 UNLV, 2-10 Utah State, 4-9 New Mexico State, Washington, 4-9, 5.7 Louisiana Tech 5.7 San Jose State, Charleston Southern 5-6 (another team of 1 - AA) Nevada, 6-6, 8-4 Fresno State and Boise State 10-2.
You can call Fresno State and Boise teams State with a good right. I'm not sure what the 10 teams, but terrible evil poor.
Hawaii was actually the 10th best team in the country go in the cup sugar? Not on your life. The fact of the matter is that Hawaii may have been beaten by teams far more than he played last year.
Not to be outdone with Hawaii, this year no less than 3 undefeated teams from major conferences have risen from the ashes in hopes of BCS Bowl Game Used-12-0 from Utah of the Mountain West Conference, Boise State 11-0 in Western Athletic Conference and 11-0 Ball State in the Mid American Conference.
I no problem with Utah for the strength of its programming is only 4 points less than the No. 1-ranked Alabama, 11-0, 72 to 76. If you wonder, No. 3 Florida (10-1) valued at force 8 expected and No. 4 Texas (10-1) rated 7th in the strength of schedule to enter the contest Saturday.
If Alabama is the BCS National Championship Game, the Crimson Tide could be a surprise.
Boise State built a 11-0 undefeated record this year to win against teams with a combined record of 58-77, 429 (43%) win percentage. Victims Bronco included 11.1 Idaho State (a team of 1-AA), Idaho, 2-10, 2-9 Utah State, 3-8 State of New Mexico, 5-6 Bowling Green, 5 -- Southern Mississippi 6 , 6-6 San Jose State, Hawaii 6-5, Nevada, 6-5, 7-4 Louisiana State, Fresno State 7-4, 8-3 and Oregon.
You can call Fresno State and Oregon good teams but the rest of them are not even on the radar screen of the good by any measure.
The Broncos of Boise State still undefeated put, 12-0 in regular season 2006 and Oklahoma in front of the BCS Fiesta Bowl, winning 43-42 in overtime to record a historic victory by a team of middle level of a major football program loaded. It was a glorious moment for Boise State and propellants.
One wonders, however, this folder Boise State would have been this year if the Broncos have played in Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Nebraska (teams with a combined record of 36-8) of Oklahoma, had to do this year. While Boise State has not entered into the Fiesta Bowl with a 12-0 mark.
Ball State built a 11-0 undefeated record this year, winning against teams with a combined record of 51-82, 383 (38%) gains in percentage. The victims include Cardinal 2.10 Nordeste (a 1-AA school), 2-9 Western Kentucky (another 1-AA school), Eastern Michigan, 2-9, 2-9 Miami of Ohio Indiana, 3-9, 3-8 Kent State, Toledo, 3-8, 5 to 6 of Akron, Navy 6-4, 6-5 Northern Illinois, Michigan, Central 8-3, 9-2 and Western Michigan.
Ball State played Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Nebraska (with teams a combined 36-8 record) of Oklahoma, he had to do this year, there is no way the Cardinals would 11-0.
Ball State team is the 17th best in America? I doubt it. Ball State bowl Garner is playing against a worthy opponent, it will be interesting to see how Cardinals do.
Utah, Boise State and Ball State will be able to take his game during the bowl season. Please play more of a bowl Thurs Rinky Dinky, that actually means something.
